Gulf Coast Film and Video Festival to Host Awards Gala Sept. 20 in Seabrook

The Gulf Coast Film and Video Festival, founded in 1998 to highlight and celebrate motion picture artists, is set to hold its annual Awards Gala on September 20 at the Lakewood Yacht Club.

The evening event, taking place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., will include dinner, recognition of nominees, and the presentation of awards. Due to unexpected events, the festival will not be able to host its usual film screenings this year. However, organizers have confirmed that the gala will still showcase the creativity and commitment of the filmmakers involved.

During the celebration, attendees will be treated to clips from each category nominee before the winners are announced, providing a preview of the diverse and thought-provoking work recognized by the festival.

“While we are unable to host our traditional screenings this year, we are excited to honor the remarkable talent of our nominees and showcase their work to the community,” festival organizers stated.

The Gulf Coast Film and Video Festival has consistently focused on uplifting filmmakers by fostering creativity, education, and groundbreaking narratives. The gala on September 20 signifies yet another significant moment in its nearly thirty-year legacy of celebrating film excellence along the Texas Gulf Coast.
