Humane Society was arrested over the weekend on assault charges related to a domestic incident. Henderson claims the charges have been dismissed, though official records still list them as active.

Henderson, who has been employed by the organization since 2022, issued a statement on Wednesday regarding the incident. He clarified that the detention was the result of a dispute with his wife that escalated to the involvement of the police. "Upon judicial review of my actions and the incident, it was determined by the court that I violated no law and there was no probable cause for my arrest," according to Henderson. "All charges were dismissed, and I was released."
Nevertheless, the Galveston County Sheriff's Office's records continue to indicate that Henderson is currently facing active allegations as of the most recent update. The discrepancy has not yet been addressed by the authorities.
The incident occurred during October, Domestic Violence Awareness Month, in which communities nationwide emphasize the necessity of resources and assistance for victims. Henderson has requested that his family maintain privacy during this time.
Henderson's experience in animal welfare encompasses positions as an Animal Services Cruelty Investigator with the Galveston Police Department and with the Galveston County Health District Animal Services.
