Galveston County is poised to shine this weekend as residents and visitors come together for celebratory events heralding the beginning of the holiday season.
In Dickinson, volunteers have transformed Paul Hopkins Park into a glittering wonderland for the annual Festival of Lights. The complimentary walk-through holiday attraction will open on Saturday, inviting visitors each evening from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. until Dec. 30, depending on weather conditions.
Texas City is set to hold its Christmas tree lighting ceremony at City Hall beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday, offering a variety of family-friendly activities and festive spirit. At 6 p.m. that evening, Saengerfest Park in downtown Galveston will illuminate, providing a captivating setting in the island's historic district.
This Sunday, League City will partake in the celebrations with a tree lighting ceremony at League Park from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., welcoming the community to join in the festivities.
