Schlitterbahn Galveston is intensifying its recruitment efforts in preparation for the upcoming 2026 summer, aiming to fill 1,000 part-time and seasonal roles at its expansive 26-acre water park located on Galveston Island.

This week, park officials revealed that applicants now have the opportunity to complete the entire hiring process online, which signals an important change by removing the necessity for in-person interviews in numerous instances.

The park is currently seeking candidates for various positions, including roles in aquatics, food and beverage, park services, maintenance, and security. Individuals seeking to apply must meet a minimum age requirement of 15 years.

In a recent statement, recruiting manager Emily Stewart expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming hiring for the 2026 season. She emphasized the goal of assembling a team of dedicated and enthusiastic individuals who are prepared to provide the enjoyable experiences that Schlitterbahn Galveston is renowned for.

According to a recent news release, candidates can now submit applications and navigate the screening and onboarding processes digitally through the park’s online job platform. Officials announced that the newly streamlined system aims to expedite the process and enhance accessibility for students and individuals pursuing summer employment opportunities.

Schlitterbahn Galveston has announced its opening date for the upcoming season: May 2. The water park features a mix of indoor and outdoor attractions, drawing thousands of visitors to the island every summer.

Seasonal hiring at the park provides vital first-job opportunities for teenagers and offers supplemental income for college students and local residents. Available positions include lifeguards, ride attendants, food service workers, and security personnel.

Officials are urging prospective applicants to submit their applications promptly, as positions are anticipated to be filled rapidly in advance of the park’s opening day.
