On November 9, the MSC Seascape will set sail from Galveston, introducing a unique culinary experience inspired by Texas. Guests can look forward to an array of new food and drink options, including brisket, Cajun pork loin, buttermilk pie, and spicy margaritas.
Every Sunday, travelers can embark on a 7-night journey through the Western Caribbean, where they will enjoy a delightful fusion of international cuisine and regional favorites from Texas, the Gulf Coast, and the Southern U.S. Officials from MSC Cruises announced that the menus have been crafted to honor local flavors while also featuring beloved international favorites.
MSC Cruises is preparing exciting developments for breakfast service, which will showcase a delightful array of huevos rancheros, chicken and waffles, and barbacoa tacos. Meanwhile, dinner menus will embrace variety with rotating themed nights. The Texas Favorites menu showcases smoked beef brisket drizzled with jalapeño barbecue sauce, accompanied by a buttermilk tart and a vegan blackberry cobbler. Italian Night promises a delightful menu with clam linguine, veal ossobuco, and antipasto, while Caribbean Flair offers a vibrant selection of carne asada, crab cakes, and cabbage slaw.
The ship’s Tour de Brunch, a favorite among guests on other MSC vessels, is set to make a comeback, featuring a diverse array of international dishes, including Tunisian shakshuka, Japanese fried chicken, jumbo cheeseburgers, and kid-friendly French toast sticks.
The culinary diversity will be showcased in the specialty dining venues aboard MSC Seascape. The vessel showcases an impressive array of five specialty dining options, including a sushi bar, a seafood establishment, and the renowned Butcher's Cut steakhouse. Some select locations will feature a Latin-inspired breakfast menu, introducing chilaquiles and breakfast burritos to the offerings. Onboard bars will feature an array of bourbon tastings and craft cocktails, highlighted by a Texas-style spicy margarita.
In a strategic move, MSC is broadening its culinary offerings to intertwine local flavors with global cruise experiences, reflecting the company's ongoing growth in the U.S. market. Galveston has emerged as a significant departure point for MSC, positioning itself in competition with Carnival and Royal Caribbean to draw in travelers from the Gulf Coast.
MSC Seascape is set to embark on year-round voyages from Galveston, with exciting itineraries that include stops at Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Roatán. The food programming, according to officials, aims to improve the onboard experience for both novice and experienced cruisers.
