The Auction Section will host a significant online real estate auction on November 5, 2025, offering a wide range of properties across the Gulf Coast.
The event will feature residential, waterfront, and investment properties in highly sought-after locations, including the Bolivar Peninsula, Galveston Island, Tiki Island, and Harbor Walk. This online auction promises to be one of the most critical coastal property offerings in recent history.
Mark Thomas, the president and auctioneer at Auction Section, described the event as an essential response to current market conditions. “This auction is an incredible event and a necessary step in helping balance a market still wrestling with oversupply pressures that began during COVID,” he said. “By setting a firm auction date and delivering a transparent online process, buyers can access real opportunities, and sellers have the confidence of closing in as little as 60 days.”
The Gulf Coast region has experienced a significant increase in housing supply, particularly since the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in one of the largest buyer’s markets in Texas. Galveston, for instance, has approximately 17 months of housing inventory, far exceeding the typical balanced market of 4 to 6 months.
The online auction is strategically designed to address this imbalance by connecting motivated sellers with competitive buyers nationwide.
Properties available for bidding include Gulf-front homes, waterfront lots, vacation properties, and high-potential investment opportunities. The auction will be conducted entirely online, offering seamless access to bidders nationwide.
The auction will begin on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025, and participants can register now at AuctionSection.com to browse available properties and prepare for bidding. The Auction Section encourages sellers interested in listing their properties to contact them immediately to secure a spot in this significant event.
"This is a great opportunity for sellers to capitalize on the current market and close deals quickly," said Thomas. "It’s also an ideal chance for buyers to secure prime coastal properties in a competitive environment."
