Lasker Park Community Pool will reopen on April 18 for the spring season, as announced by city officials. This marks the return of a key public recreation facility in the area just in time for the warmer weather.
The facility near Ball High School boasts a recreational pool equipped with playful features for children, including a body slide, alongside an eight-lane lap pool tailored for fitness enthusiasts.
City officials announced that the lap pool will follow a split schedule this spring. The hours of operation are set for Tuesday to Friday, running from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then resuming from 4 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. The facility will operate on weekends from 7 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., and it will be closed on Mondays.
The splash pool is set to open on May 16, featuring limited weekend hours from noon to 4:45 p.m. Starting May 30, both pools will extend their daily hours as the facility moves into its summer schedule.
City Manager Brian Maxwell emphasized that the reopening serves as a vital recreational resource for the community.
“The pool stands out as an essential community asset for residents and visitors alike, offering a venue to remain active and refreshed during the hotter months,” Maxwell stated.
The city announced that the facility will be accessible to the public, although further information regarding admission fees or programming has yet to be disclosed.
