Heavy rain has caused street flooding in parts of Galveston. The area between Moody Gardens and The Strand was particularly affected, with significant precipitation falling in this region.

The amount of rain that fell in this area is estimated to be between 3 and 4 inches. In contrast, San Luis Pass received less rainfall, with totals ranging from 1 to 2 inches.

Further information on the flooding and precipitation totals is available from the National Weather Service, as reported by Meteorologist Amaryllis Cotto in the Galveston County Daily News.
